    Having some good fun with this at the moment, learning loads at the same time.

    The test done at the different stages of getting the medium sorted and then planting some material has given me some encouraging results.

    Firstly it seems like the microwave mix is good enough, not sure how repeatable it is.

    No sign of anything growing in the two containers.

    Two out of the three have stuff other than my plants growing in it.

    the third has some promise ... or it is just slow to grow the unwanted fluff.

    So yeah the wait continues.

    Crap. Basicly back to square 1. Will it be possible to remove the fungas, with sterilized equipment, in the cups that shows very little? Or will the whole cup be contaminated? Seeing that this is not for medical use

    I will scarp what I have at some point ... looking for scalpal blades at the moment (got the handle) so that I can disinfect with alcohol and a flame after each cut.

    Not in a rush so all is good.
