I was wondering the same thing. It seems as if the magnetic plate attaches the filter container.
Yip, basically just makes for easy disassembly.
The original Costs R730 , its crazy, and there isn't any electrical part in it
Yeah, its something to make the cleaning easier, but it still can't justify the price
i sorta can designs / molds dont make themselves or come cheap.. marketing and distribution is a factor too..also its a new idea.. new ideas are always expensive till the Chinese get hold if it
but saying that.. pricing of products nowadays arent just about material costs any more..
I agree that the idea and the design worth something, i was prepared to pay 200-250 for it but R730 is so ridiculous, and the concept is so simple to replicate that i didn't even give the buying a thought.
I've found another Bio Filter which makes the built even more easire than this one, the price is R80 for the other one.
I will make another filter for my Discus tank and will post the pictures here.
I know I'm resurrecting a old thread , but could you please let me know what diameter the pipe is the pump fits into.
I'm planning something like this but need to know what dimension the pump's connectors are.
