I've met that old chap in somerset west... Strange fellow. Keeps mumbling about something called benkers... Anyway. Another odd chap lives in Constantia... Chases otters in the middle of the night. Has a thing for shrimp. Personally, I'm not a fan of the mayonnaise he keeps putting with the shrimp. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Sean, I think it is the thin air on the top of the mountain in Somerset West, that is influencing the old geyser. Trevor, yes, he makes too much noise on forums, but there is the very odd bit of information that is of use.... The Constantia guy is also good at filming I believe, even films for Attenborough ever so often. But I also don't understand the shrimp mayonnaise affliction either, but then I don't particularly like sushi either.....
I don't see what the problem is - shrimp and mayonnaise go nicely together (providing you choose the right one - I use Hellmann's or Black & Crosse's Tangy Mayonnaise). I once made shrimp stirfry and it was nice, no offense to the shrimp keepers on here - mind you, it was bought frozen at Pick n Pay and I thought I'd just try it out many years ago. Back then, I lived in JHB during that time. As regards to sushi, @Dirk B it's actually an acquired taste - it's like marmite, you either like it or you don't. Some people like Vegemite, some don't. I never used to like sushi until I learnt to make it. It took quite a few takes to actually like it after making so many for my brothers. I still don't like the wasabi paste as it's too hot for me though.
