Boyu Electronic Co2 Diffuser

    So I got this Electronic CO2 producer today, apparently it works via electrolysis. And there's massive discussions on The Krib about it (including Tom Barr). I will test it for the owner of our LFS, because he wants to use it in his Discus tank. Will keep you guys updated, although I'm not very optimistic. Here's a pic![​IMG]

    Oh boy, here we go again.

    Do a search on here and the other local forums and you'll find that you do not want this thing in your tank.

    I remember reading that when this thing first came on the market, there were allot of angry Chinese hobbyists taking every opportunity to boycott Boyu after their tanks turned black.

    Just to clarify... This is not my system and I'm testing it (not in my display tank) for someone. I have pressurized CO2 and will never go back! I haven't spend 1c on this. So it's worth a try. At least it's not going in the dudes Discus tank first. :eek:

    Maybe use it in a tank with no substrate. Put the plants in little pots. Then show the guy the junk that collects on the floor of the tank when the thing needs a replacement.

    yeah dude, free is one thing, but the damage it causes is well prob not worth it...by the sounds of it.
