Hi All! I have small blower outside my fishroom,it makes a sharp zinging sound, can anybody give me advice on how to dampen that noise? One petshop in Pe got a much bigger one,and it makes alot less noise than mine, but I see its got airfilter on. Regards Hervé
It is like a big air pump, but it is not a pump it is a motor with a impeller inside that blows air.It is suppling air to about 40 tanks.
well just a guess, maybe put a layer of polystyrene under the blower? or if it gets hot, secure it to a sheet of wood and then lay it over the polystyrene? my 2cents.. hehe
Blowers are noisy by design! This is a very efficient high volume air "pump"! for MTS! The fan like construction do make a high pitch sound similar to a jet-engine. Clean the filter regularly, and hang the blower from the ceiling to prevent vibration noise. Enjoy! Gert.
Having spent a night at Herve's I can sympathize with him. :-\ Maybe you should get a long extension cord, several meters of airline and then place the thing at the far end of the garden.
Hi Herve You might want to look at the Hailea V-30 or V-60 air pumps. I have been using one for more than a year and although you can hear it, it is not as bad as a blower. Here is the smaller one (the V-30) http://www.h2osupplies.co.uk/index.php? ... ductId=110
