Blast from the past Thought I would post some pics of my setups over the years. These were mostly taken when I just started growing plants.

Clean green, perhaps a bit too green, could have done with some reds in there for sure.

Bacopa, a great indicator plant, the pink at the top of the leaves indicates low Nitrates

Eustralis Stellata, a challenging plant to grow, needs lots of CO2.

Beautiful Barclaya Longifolia, nice deep pink colour

    Hi

I actually remember some of those pics from your personal website. Sorry to hear about your 3 foot, it was looking good when I saw it IRL recently. I'm sure you'll get it going nicely soon again.

I've decided to do an experiment on my algae tank. Its compleely covered in string algae so I'm trying different things to try and erradicate it. It's slowly coming right but still looks pretty bad. I'll post a pic or 2 for you to see. Shocking.

    That's good to hear.
I'm still waiting for the Riccia that Nick got, to recover.
He got quite a bit, but it's in a terrible state.
Will be getting some from him soon, hopefully.

I actually got a few SMALL pieces of what looks like Riccia in my Pelia shipment.

Will see if it survives :).

Nice tanks you have been keeping there!

Yes I got some too, this is the real Mckoy Riccia, its very thi and leggy yes?
Try and save as much of it as you can and float it, it will take off. Just make sure you have ample CO2 and nutrients. Nice one. What do you think of the Pelia, it took me a while to warm up to it but I like alot, it's starting to puff out nicely, I have tied to a rock.

    Hi Cameron

The pelia is taking a while to recover but I am watching it. I will have to start up my CO2 again though. There is not a lot of Riccia but hopefully it will start picking up soon!

I am so happy to hear about that pink coloring as a sign for low nitrates, as I think I have some at the back of my tank!

    My tanks?

I have 14 of them, which one do you want to know about :)

My planted tanks from above are non existant. I have one 3ft low light planted tank still doing well (I'll post an update of that later). The rest are all small breeding tanks for various Killies and Rainbows.

    :)
