    Howzit gents

Been a while since I've been on here & posting, so hi to all the old & new faces.

I had quite a few Barclaya Longifolias in my tank but they wiped out after months unfortunately,...the remaining bulbs also decayed despite my attempts to get them to grow again. So now I'm looking for one.

I've rebuilt my tank recently and I would like to add one B.L to it. Can anyone help me out please?

    Thanks gents & gals
    Dale

I know @Sean can get them from Anubias plants. I am on his list for when he gets them in next time.

I have consoled myself with Madagascan lace plants in the meantime.

    Kind regards,

    Dirk

Mine has just had one pod open... There are three more pods. Tips to grow the seeds welcome or you can even come get some seeds if you like.

    Hi Neville,

Do you actually see seeds as such? Are they tiny? The seeds would need to be sowed on a moist medium, something like palm fibre peat is what I could suggest, but in some sort of a container so that you can maintain high humidity. I would be interested in trying to germinate some seed if you think you can spare.

    Kind regards,

    Dirk

Hi Dirk, lots of seeds. I've scooped most into a guppy breeding tank before they get sucked up by the filter or (as I've read) get eaten by snails.
I'm more than happy to share. PM me and we can arrange.

    Hi Dirk

I've got some spart palm peat lying around so thought I'd give it a bash. Will put some in a container and thought to cover the top with some cling-wrap to let light in but keep it moist, Will that work or does it need to be inside an aquarium with tropical temperatures? Or will the seeds germinate in current WC ambient temps?

    Cheers
    Neville
