Having seen just in the last week or so Barry's Diptych, Greystokes' wall mount and Ivan's cabinet factory pop out yet another one, I am yet again envious and full of admiration for the many great DIY works that continually appear.... so how about a little end of year comp/game to find the forum's favourite DIY job for 2012. We can poll the nominations ? Appologies if I have lost the plot a little
thats a good idea! i got lots to choose i dont think the DIY will be on the front page but it will still be cool nominating and showing our appreciation towards the members contributions! so, add a pic and a link to the thread of the person you want to nominate!
Ivan's DIY nano light that made an appearance on top of a couple of tanks this year. And there's the inline heater and diffuser. Let's just make Ivan the DIY dude of the year.
But he's already taken this years Mr Overkill crown ? The Mr DIY title is going to be a difficult choice, how about we list the finalists.. I'll try and make a start, the leading contenders all have double header entries.. - Barry's pico and Diptych tank - Ivan's cabinets, proto type 1, 2,3 & 4 and nano light - Greystoke's wall mount/stand (also up for the David Copperfield Illusion award) and his DIY fish food, I seem to remember. - Herman's inline reactors must be up there, not sure if this includes his unique C02 pipe design which disappears into the ceiling and comes down again in most rooms ? - there must surely be some DIY LED light candidates as well ?
Can I nominate my own cabinet and light unit? I will do a seperate thread for it. It won't win but I'm really proud of the build I did. Marc
sounds good, there has been provision made for wild card entries, so go for it ! Trying to work out Greystokes' smiley, it's a movie on its own, can't find it in my selection, lol !
just show the thread and pic here and we'll enter it. whole point is to show what awesome DIY's there have been on this forum! thanks
Right-click on the smiley and go to "properties". That will give you the address of the smiley. Copy it and use it.
