Struggling to get a decent pic....

seems like there is a surface crack / chip on the side of the tank, but the main culprit ( read " concern" ) is a chip coming from the same corner of the tank, but on the BACK pane between the tank and the wall.....

Its not very large, but this chip has a crack radiating outwards from it...... will try get a better pic in the morning and post asap.....

Chaps, seems like this tank is going to be sold...... :(

Tank builder reckons it is repairable, but its going to be a major shlep for me, not to mention quite costly....

So im going to rather bite the bullet and go shopping for a new 5ft.... :headbang: little smaller and a little more manageable... must say though, I think everyone should have a big tank at some point in their life ! I have absolutely loved it to now...

So if anyone is interested in purchasing this tank send me a PM ( including steel stand, cabinet and canopy only ).... You can come and view... I will point out the damage so that you can make an informed decision.

At the moment its still in use and holding water fine, so any reasonable offers will be considered ( I’ll open a separate thread in due course )....

Thanks for the support to now guys !

    Ciao :icon_thumright:

Eish well to be honest that crack will haunt me as well with all that water mass. Rather play it save. Looking forward to your new setup. :icon_thumright:

    EXACERY......

Personally I " think " it would be fine with a decent patch job ( IE: extra glass siliconed on the inside and outside of the chipped area )... hell you could even get PG glass out to try repair it once its empty.. but in the back of my mind i'll have nightmares of an indoor swiming pool in the lounge ! ;-p
