So I found this stuff on Takealot while browsing yesterday.

    Description:

"BioCentric Water Treatment. Biological additive for RAS with pathogen inhibitor
Enhances water quality by reducing the concentration of ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, phosphate and COD. It reduces solids and organic waste, reduces algae bloom proliferation. It promotes biological filter maturation and has a pathogen inhibition reducing pathogen load linked to disease."

    Website is biocentric.co.za

The company seems to be geared towards large fish farms. 500g is only R145 and with dosage instructions of 1 - 5 g per 1m3 it is many times cheaper than seachem/nutrafin bacteria products.

Any of you know about it or used it before? Any reason to avoid it?

The name sounds a bit like a multivitamin or a washing powder
