    Hey Richard

Welcome!! It's amazing how we always find our way back to these aquatic creatures. Good to see your back. :)

I'm still a beginner too so don't worry. Ask away, that's why the forum's here. :D

A warm welcome to you Richard.

Thanks for joining, you sound like a VERY busy man :)

You can ask as many questions as you like and I'm sure we'll all try our best to help.

So, you like the Takashi Nature aquarium style for a planted tank?

yes, Takashi's stuff is nice. I prefer that to the more formal Dutch-style. I want something that looks as natural as possible. I have also warned my wife that I want to make a biotope too sometime in the future. (all fauna and flora from same area). But that might be an African cichlid aquarium - minimum plants? we'll see. That's a long ways off.
For now, I simply want to start my way towards a really lush S-American natural aquarium. (Any tips welcome! ;))

Well to be utterly honest with you, as the designer of the site I do have all access. I do not read private mails but if I really wanted to I could. This is the same with any forum/portal setup. So its fine to use it but just don't post anything super private like your banking details etc...

I'm new here... why is there suddenly a locked/remove topics icon next to this thread?

So that it can be locked or removed if you wish.
Watch out for the delete button.   I’ve more that once accidentally clicked the delete button when  hastily wanting to edit a post.   :D

    Hi Rattail

Those options are not supposed to be open to members but only moderators and admin, I did'nt actually notice until you pointed it out. Thus I have rectified it and thats why you can no longer see the additional buttons.

    Sorry about that.
