    hey pikkie,

my l. glandulosa is also very slow growing, it is a large plant and seems more like a shrub, than a usual stem plant... there is also no lateral growth, it is just growing straight up, when i cut it back, it puts out one new shoot, and shoots straight up from there then. it is one of my favourite plants at the moment though!

Mine's a lot more red, but the pink looks cool too. It's also very strong with a proper stem that I like :)

Re: 400l Juwel Rio ( some new pics )

seeing the nice colors that angus is getting i am going to step up my lighting a bit

    i was doing:

    12:00 CO2 on
    13:00
    14:00 juwel arc1 on
    15:00 arc 2 on
    16:00
    17:00 arc 3 on
    18:00
    19:00 arc2 off
    20:00 arc3 off
    21:00
    22:00 juwel arc1 off

    now i will be doing:

    12:00 CO2 on
    13:00
    14:00 juwel arc1 on
    15:00 arc 2 on
    16:00 arc 3 on
    17:00
    18:00
    19:00
    20:00 arc2 off
    21:00 arc3 off
    22:00 juwel arc1 off

that will give me a 4hr noon blast...

    It's looking really nice Raymond.
    Your stargrass is awesome.
Mine is not growing that quickly, must be the iron difference.
I can't wait to see the cuba get big.

I think that you need 60 cardinals in there,if you don't mind me digging into your wallet.

Pity,I know nice Cardinals are hard to come bye.
I normally order the whole bag from the petshop.
It's the only way to guarantee getting them.

Re: 400l Juwel Rio ( some new pics )

@angus - dave at KAC usually has them in stock, they also always very healthy...

i ordered some new hardware off ebay, i got a needle valve CO2 splitter, so i can split my CO2 to send a tiny amount to my small tank and more to this tank, the little green plastic air taps weren't working so great, i also replaced all my tubing with rhinox CO2 resistant tubing, and got a rhinox 5000 diffuser, and have cranked up the CO2 quite a bit...

i also increased my noon burst to 4 hours.

the difference is amazing, the ammania, is bouncing back, the cuba has started to turn red, so has the aromatica, my plants are pearling again, even the HC.

the only issue i have now is the dreaded clado, it is all through my glosso and HC, i am going to move it to emersed and see if i can knock it out of the bare substrate, if it seems clear, i will replant the HC all across the front and keep the glosso in reserve...

    happy cuba

    Hey Raymond
The cuba is looking stunning, wait till she gets a bit higher.
Most definitely one of the most beautiful plants in the world.

I'm glad the noon burst is helping.
I find it makes a big difference in colour.

Ask Prof Dirk for his algae remover. It's from Germany and does not contain any Cu.
