39w t5 and 1.3m tank....

    This is just to show that you can use a 90cm unit ie 39w t5 on a larger tank, you dont need to have a 120cm unit if you have a 120cm tank, you dont need a 150cm unit if you have a 150cm tank... hope this helps !!

    Singu, yes you can but you will battle with high light demanding plants on the edges of the tank, I can clearly see this in my tank where the lights are 1200mm and the tank 1500mm.

    the edges is going to be over the bracing, in a month or two the bracing will be white from residue, so then the edges will be dark anyway...

    i totally agree... plus this tank is clearly designed for a high light peak in the centre.

    Sorry Singu, but this doesn't prove anything else then the possibility to have light to see in the corners... In my tank I tried high light plants and they just would not grow. Low light plants sure. If this was just to show that you can get away with enough aesthetic light I'm with what you are trying to get at.
