3 foot low tech - Tetratec ex1200 vs ex700 ? Canister filter

Hi all

Can get the Tetratec EX1200 for R1990 and the EX700 for R1670

Which would be better? Tank is a standard 3 foot

I believe the EX1200 has a flow adjustment... so would probably turn it down a little... should I rather get the EX1200 for future proofing reasons ?

With in the next year, might go pressurized c02, so need to consider that too

Ex-700 works very well on my 90cm even with the CO2 reactor

I got rid of my Tetratec canister filter due to leaks. LFS replaced entire unit after one week, within a month same problems. LFS no longer stock the brand due to customer complaints about the same issues. I wouldn't use one again if it was given to me, as it caused major water damage to my cabinet.

 

Apparently the older tetratecs had leaking issues but the newer ones are fine... could you recommend any other brands for about the same price ?

What brand would you recommend? R1900 ?

How many lph should i be aiming at for my planted tank? My tank is about 100 L
