Ok Im just retyping my journal here (was for the planted low tech tank comp)

    Setup:
I started with a tank that I had in use, just did a major rescape.
I kept all the filter material in a bucket with the filter running during the rescape.
My siamese fighter and baby Ancistrus was kept in a QT tank whilst the rescape was happening.

I added Flourite Dark as the substrate.
I was boiling my piece of wood whist I cleaned the tank and added the substrate.
Sorted the hard scape out first. And that is where I hit my snag - the wood wouldnt stay down, so it was replaced with a piece that was already water logged and had the needle leaf java ferns on it.

I then added the plants - Ludwiga Repens, Rotala Nanjeshun, Rotala Colorata and the Needle Leaf Java Ferns (the other plants where removed as I was playing with the tank) (Also if I got the plant names wrong Im sorry!).

I floated my kids for about 3 hours - to get them used to the water again I added a little bit of water to their bags every 10mins or so. I was also waiting for the tank to clear up a bit before I added them. Ozzy (the fighter loved the new look and was bubbling away by the next morning).

    Setup Components:
Jebo R310 - 31,5x23,5x37cm with trickle tray filter filled with ceramics and a filter pad.
1x 8w Sylvianas Growlux light - photoperiod is basically from 8am till 12 pm and then from 5pm till 10pm.
Substrate is Flourite Dark - rinsed VERY well before hand.
    I dosed Seachem Flourish 2 times a week - 1ml each time
Seachem Excel two times a week - 0.5ml each time
    Seachem Iron - 1ml once a week
1 Siamese Fighter named Ozzy, 5 white clouds, 1 ancistrus pleco.

Two weeks later I rearranged some of the plants a little:

I will add here as well - even tho I decided on that dosing schedule - my bad habit is to forget dosing so most weeks the tank only got one dose.

    Hehehe thanks :D

The tank has now moved to the lounge area of the house and currently is a cold water tank with just whiteclouds in it. Im leaving it alone since I have to grow out more needle leaves for a few forumites :p

Slagter - crypts was just added - I suspect they are a bit shell shocked from the grow out tank :p Will try and get a better pic quick now that its dark here. But yea the crypts need some TLC. The needle leaf was also not happy to be rehomed - took about 15mins to get it off the old piece of wood with a nail file :p

I also ment to say I had just rescaped this tank. It was a wall of green, with plants doing just what they wanted with barely any care :p
