Clown kilifish or Pseudepiplatys annulatus. They are still young and need to colour up a bit more.

Yes they are from Panorama. They've settled in nicely.

Dont have much experience with kilifish so doing some research!

@Dylan S I was tempted but the price was a bit much, good luck with them. Easily breedable too AFAIK

Not too bad hey. They are the cheapest fish in my tank currently! Read they also breed easily, but would be a miracle if any made it what with the cows, corys and apistos in there :)

Wouch! You can always do an extra tank ;)

At this point I'm happier spending R120 on my polypterus than R120 on 3 small killies. I like smaller fish too just not the expensive ones lol

Nice. Spotted them. Was initially worried about their feeding requirements but they are eating the flakes and frozen brine shrimps. I remember wanting Notobranchius Rancvii when they had some at a LFS here , but had the double red Cacatuiodes apistos at the time and doubt he woulda been diplomatic. The trifasciata in the tank now havnt even noticed the clown kilifish

I didn't actually get theirs, too small

Good to hear! May try an apisto if I find one cheaply... Building a tank to scape soon too

You do know of course that in the wild killifish are one of the main prey items for polypterus.

    Yeah. Not taking chances lol

The fish in my big tank are all polypterus safe, killies would've went to a smaller tank

Update. The monte carlo on the left is finally starting to spread! Have made slight adjustments to pieces of wood positioning and added a darker blue background.
