Sorry guys, I don’t think a discussion on where to get banned animals is all that savory and should be kept off this esteemed forum.

Oh come on Henk, the esteemed owner of this esteemed forum has actually posted a pic of the aforementioned banned shrimp in the past, viewtopic.php?t=3   :nehnehneh   (second pic from the bottom)

    :sorry Cam

Seriously though, I know some people dont like discussions on restricted fauna, and they are entitled to these opinions/outlooks/perceptions, but unless the owner and the mods of this forum specifically ban/disallow it here, I dont see the problem, the forum is not endorsing it, (Mods feel free to disagree with me at this point)   ;D
Its the same as telling someone who smokes weed that weed is illegal every time he mentions it, (hands up who hasnt smoked weed   :dooby: ) ,the guy knows this, but he is prepared to take the risk, constantly reminding him is just irritating him (just my opinion/outlook/perception on the matter)
Thinking of it another way, maybe posting where to get banned species is actually helping Cape Nature, now they know who to stop.

Now where did I put that pic of my Cherax quadricarinatus   ;D

There we go, so we are actually doing them a favour by naming suppliers, because they know as well as we do that in terms of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act they cannot legally get anyones IP resolved to their location from any forum/ISP/etc without a court order, and thats a hassle.

 to Cape Nature, keep up the good work guys   ;D

    Hi guys

I visited Aquatic Pet City over the weekend and was very pleasantly surprised. I think Don should get a reward for finding these good petshops.

I walked away with 8 threadfin rainbows, 4 golden panchax and 9 white cloud mountain minnows

Hey Andre, I also got some threadfins over the weekend, 10 of them for R12 each!

You should'nt have bought the Panchax, I could have included them for you in the package as I have many many Panchax fry (about 4-5cm now).

    Oh well :)

    Hey Cameron

I would love some panchax. I think I got females only - it's good to get some new blood in as well :)

The threadfins are awesome little fish. I am currently feeding them the very fine granulate from Dirk. They go crazy for it. They can't seem to fit the larger granulate in their mouths easily

No Problem Andre, I will include a batch for you, how many do you want :)

I'm feeding the threadfins live food only for now, BBs and mosquito larvae. They seem to like it :)

    Hi guys

It seems that the petshop only had male threadfins. It kind of makes sense as these are much more beautiful than the females. Unfortunately I did not know how to sex these when I was at the petshop. (try finding a picture of a FEMALE threadfin on the internet).

Do any of you who also bought some get any females? I would be willing to pay good money for a female or 2 if you have some spares.
