    FOR SALE

Discus, clown loach and catfish + tanks and stands

I am giving up the hobby due to my not being able to find the time to look after the fish properly and am prepared to sell at bargain price. Would prefer one quick sale.

    Discus x 9
    Blue, Albino, Orange

Breeding pair of high quality spotted (they have spawned twice, recently)

Do you have any powerheads you wish to part with?

    Hey man!

Sorry to hear you are giving up the hobby!!

I can't view any of your pics!!

Do you have a figure in mind or is it make a lucky stab, and see if it takes??

Just one question, whats the dimensions of the tanks for Setup 2?? Are they two tanks on top of each other on the one stand??

    Regards
    G!

    Hi Gerry

I hope you don't mind, I took the liberty of fixing your image tags. The breeding pair of discus are very impressive.

My question seems rather stupid now that I can see the pics!!

Looks like 1.2m tanks to me? Divided into three makes 40cm (l) x 45cm (w) x 45cm (h). I already have two stands which I did a similar thing to!! I cannot see the bracing on top though?? Is it one piece all along, or does each compartment have its one bracing?

    Regards
    G!

Well no wonder it is such a lot of work! Big/lots of fish in such a small tank must mean near 100% water changes daily. You would have done better to have 1 pair in 1.2 m or .9 m with a division for some dither fish for the male to focus his attention on. Like that, with good lighting to grow plants, you may have only had to do a water change once every week.

If you want to breed fish for profit, going with lots of small tanks is not the way forward unless you have every day to tinker with them and free water and heating. You are better off with big tanks small numbers of fish fast. The denser the fry the slower they grow, the more they cost, the less you make.

Gerry, you can still fix your mistake and keep the tanks. But the divisions will need to go. Your 2 m tank would be much better utilized as a rearing tank.

Maybe give a price you would like to get for one sale.
And then put a price TAG to everything separate...

Still keeping a eye on that discus pair ;D ;D ;D

WOw. bit Steep for me. I am willing to consider 1/2 the price for set up 1. ditto on the discus. Let me know if you reconsider.

The heaters appear to be "Aquarium" - do not know if this is the brand or part of the label.
No pump is included but I have a Atman gigantic air pump available - this an extremely powerful pump and would accept a low price if you buy the setup.
