Just would like to share a wonderful moment in my hobby.

I had spawn on the glass in my 7 foot, which allowed me to have a closer look and watch the eggs been laid and fertilised, which was amazing to see the eggs come out from this angle, I tried to take photos of this but every time I came close they would move away. I did managed to capture the fry hatching and to watch them wiggle out was totally awesome. I just wish I had a better camera when they did, anyway, still exciting from this angle.

This was when they started to hatch, I also tried to capture on video but I could not but I had problems with focus

I had to put all the breeding pairs with the rest of the mob as things were getting pretty hectic, sadly the fry in the photos were eating but they will be remembered. I decided to rather focus on the fry from some earlier spawn?s, which was a great opportunity to try different things first hand. The resemblance to Angel fry is amazing, nice photo Andre.

    These are the parents

Thanks, I using a Sony Cyber-shot camera (DSC-W70). Not the best because of the auto focus when using macro, which can be frustrating at times but I?m happy with it, all though it did take me an hour or so looking for a good shot?lol
They have spawned again and this time I was lucky and managed to capture the eggs coming out the ?tube? with the male fertilizing, this also gave me a nice view from a different angle.

    Here is the female

Oh wow Peter, the macro capabilities of your camera is very impressive.

Are you going to try to grow out this batch?

    Hi Andre

No? they are all in the community tank and won?t last long, though I am keen to have a bash at artificially raising fry in a temp controlled environment once my fish room is complete.
