@rsa - I'm using a dual Oddysea 90cm unit. I've added on another T5 LED light. This happened about a week after I done a trim. Gives me a reason to do a bit of a re-scape, which I have been thinking about but not committing to just yet. But I am now :)

I have bought a zetlight 1200 that I will be running with 3-4 t5 LED. I ran 3 t5 leds with 2 t8 for about 2 years with good results . Going to be setting up again after moving cant wait . Anyway was curious to find out what you using since the growth is amazing !!

Ahh I see, funny enough, my growth on the MC is quite good with only the 1 dual oddysea, but some of the plants at the back I think need some more light which is why I added the single T5 LED, just for a bit of extra light but that was very recent. Of course, it is also due to CO2 and Ferts.

So I’m starting the re-Scape on this one, water is all out, already built my hardscape outside of the tank till I was satisfied with the rock formation, here goes...

For this Scape, I chose to use these grey rocks and in between brown and dragon rock, I liked the mixture and contrast of both.

@EugeneAqua, those rocks they usually have at Harbors, to corner off sections etc. I got those at Houtbay Harbor. I loved the look of the grey rocks too.

Hi guys, so I’ve rescaped this tank again, cleared out the tank and now using ADA Amazonia, switches my light from dual Odyssea to a 300w LED spotlights, using dragon rock as my hard scape.

    Plants:

I want to use lots of red stem plants in the background, in between the rocks will be a monta Carlo moss carpet with blyxa in between some of the rocks, perhaps some buce on the rocks.

Here some images on the hard scape, planting will happen soon.

    Nice !

The rocks need to steel the show here, in my book. Would suggest only using one or two plants max. On this forum I often see potentially great hardscapes being spoilt with inappropriate plant selections or too many types :)

How about a carpet of HC over most of the scape including the gaps between the rocks and perhaps a few dark green bushes of fissidens in some of the gaps or on a few rocks, just keep it all simple for a more dramatic impact. I prefer the finer detail of HC over MC in a Iwagumi.

No rules of course, but red stems will change the nice Iwagumi feel you have created. Here's a rather overgrown scape I modified with red stems, should this give you some ideas.....

Thanks Trevor, I always love seeing that tank of yours, I’ve planted some MC around already, here are some pics, I was going to do blyxa on the left and right side to fill in the back corners and then red plants as a background behind all the rocks. Do you suggest I not do any stems at the back?
