Hi guys & Girls - Please understand that this is not to step on anyone's toes but seeing that this is my full time job now I believe it is my duty to share knowledge that we accumulated in our commercial laboratory with you.
I will answer any question as long as you don't ask me to reveal our propitiatory mixes of cytokinin-and/or-auxin in our growth mediums as This came at a premium cost and is my IP ;)

    What is In-Vitro aquatic plants?
This can be a long and complicated answer but let me try and explain it in a few words (hope it make sense)

It is a sterilised plant growing in a sterilised medium that is VERY HIGH in nutrients and adjusted with the correct combination of cytokinin-and/or-auxin.

I will answer Frequently asked questions like this, regularly here on this forum. But please understand it might take time as when I sterilised my Laminar flow hood and start to work, I stay there for hours as cleaning/prepping it again take time and I hate doing it more than once a day.(Lazy me talking :) )

Your stuff looks great. I've got home sterilization down to a T, my plants just don't grow. I'll try with "fast growing" types but wondering if it's my lack of added hormones. Is there anything that's available to the public that can work? Rooting hormones? :)

@Moolis the gardner , I got some tropica today ..

and want to for a change first take them emersed then later who know what, this will go into this tank

    my e(im)mersed setup ..

Went asking for some tips about doing the transformation ( acclimatization) form TC to in my case emersed growth.

Got some interesting feedback on hardening off your TC plants before planting them. Have you looked into this process i.e. preparing or rather advising on the correct way to plant your brand of TC.

You are correct growth is in the correct dosing and balance of hormones. I imported the 5 main hormones and the secret it seem is the correct combination of types and amounts between them. after 11 months of experimentation I ended up with 28 daily used mixes and this LED to between 1 and 5 mixes per species for callus formation, then there are also the mixes for reproduction and lastly for retail. So I basically ended up with 4 batches of mixes per species 1. X-plant 2. Callus formation 3. Production 4. Retail.

Yes as you might have guessed the Research and Development cost me an arm and a leg for each species (I must knowledge that in some species I received this for a few professors/universities that was so nice to help me.)

Yes I am giving the distributors all this info and will also post it on my Facebook page.
But I take the TC process one step further than most of the current suppliers. I intend to sell plants that are larger and stronger, compared to the larger amounts and smaller plants that are currently sold, therefore smaller and more in competition with each other than mine that are larger and had less competition and more time to build up reserves. This lead to faster growing and healthier plants in the aquarium.

But you will still need to wash the gel off completely as this will crash yous aquarium if you introduce it into your aquarium.

I think you are 100% correct Moolis, I was very pleased with the amount of leaves all my TC had, but it looks to me more like these are TC cutting taken from what I would have to assume to be be TC mother plants. The amount of establish roots on them was very low, and maybe they do that to extend the shelf life ... Either way they are planted and in.

That said ... the plant mass is huge for the price - so quality should not just be plant mass as in leaves but how that relates to root also.

Not sure how well the kelp powder would work for in vitro - but it seems like some of the guys are using kelp extracts for Auxins and Cytokinin ... now these seem to be rather well documented in the use of TC - chatting to some guys about the rooting of my tropica TC - they recommended that I look at adding seachem advance as a rooting growth tonic, this took me down the path to where I am actually playing with good old KELPAK at the moment.
