Should grow moss crypts anubias pretty well. the absence of red and blue will make it difficult for the more demanding plants.
Hi Paul I am always confused about what colour lighting should be in or out and how much. How do you know red and blue is absent in the said light or is it specifically the actual red or blue lights "bulbs" you are referring too? would love to get to the bottom of this. Cheers
6500k is simply the color temperature or Kelvin rating of a lamp. The reason 6500k is generally recommended is that it should have enough in the blue & red wavelength side of spectrum to keep your plants happy, as well as in the green, yellow & orange to appear visually acceptable (and bright enough) to our eyes. Unfortunately this is not always the case and not a very good way of determining whether a lamp is good for our application.
I find that when i use the 6500k floods they tend to grow plants okay but since i added the T8 LED grow tubes consisting of only blue and red with the floods the growth is way better.
Thanks guys, will see how it goes, I can always add the other colours later on if needed, I don't have very demanding plants though so hopefully should be fine Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
