My orchid has been turning brown ever since it lost all the flowers and leaves. The roots have become 'mushy' as well probably due to overwatering. Is it worth attempting to trim/cut and re-pot or should I just dispose of it?

definitely over watering, just check if you have any good roots remaining if you do cut all the rotting ones and replant it but don't use the plastic pot. you should be able to save it.

Repot but use bark and only a very little bit of the moss.

I've tried to repot but unfortunately all the roots were mushy and no sign of any good ones so had to dispose.
