The aeration at night is not really for the plants. At night your plants produce CO2. It's the reverse of what they do when the lights are on. What you have in your filter is aerobic bacteria. They need oxygen to stay alive and function properly, so in essence you are aerating the tank at night to keep the bacteria alive.

Cool and thanks for all the everyone. I see i'm forced to install the airstone in the tank. How may hours should the airstone run after the light is turned of? my light run 10 hours per day.

Where did you buy it from? I have an Aramex Global Shopper account - it does add onto the overall price though...

I bought the "Intense Inline Atomizer CO2 Diffuser - for 8/12mm Hose" off eBay for $19. A lot cheaper than CO2 Supermarket. Used my virtual address in New York - so should be here in the next 2 weeks.

Agree R100 bucks cheaper . The problem is no PayPal account and I have found most eBay sellers don't ship to SA accept if they are from china . So for me " maybe I am just making it more difficult than what it is" to go through sellers only to find they don't ship here is a hazel I do not like.

You need to register an Aramex Global shopper account. It gives you a virtual address in a whole bunch of cities across the world. It gets posted there and Aramex on sends to SA. R195 for small packages. You then pay customs which is generally quite low or zero on cheap goods.
Fnb gives you access to PayPal but I believe you can open an account and transfer funds into your PayPal account...
