    I have to agree with your wife there - never really liked the crypts to be honest. You really need something red in there to be honest to contrast all the green and brown.

    Correct me if I"m wrong, I have not seen any alternanthera reineckii "mini", have you not tried that one? They are apparently smaller and more compact than the original ones which are bigger. Check this link - http://tropica.com/en/plants/plantdetails/Alternantherareineckii'Mini'(023CTC)/4439

    LOL yeah I get you. I have stems in my tank and they can be a nightmare if not kept in check with regular trimmings. Supposed to be easy low tech but they grow very quickly and fast.

    In the meantime I will continue to thin out the vallis and crypts.

    Also need to consider changing the HM for a proper carpet plant :)

    IMO the scape would look more classy with no HM there and rather just keep it open, so it can breath and it will look bigger..

    Hey Marc, tank looks great...ignore the old toppie.
    Get some montecarlo from him, grows like HC in low light conditions. I got some from him now i have a carpet in a low tech.
