Hey Everyone I have been pretty quiet for a while but been really busy at work! I turned 30 the other day and took a week leave, where I found some time to photograph my 3 tanks (setup the 2ft) and thought I'd share them with you I have a 1ft(glosso Only), 2ft (3 Different Species of Anubias Only)and a 4ft. Only the 4ft has C02, the others are just Excel dosing. I managed to get my hands on 2 freshwater pipefish for my 2ft, which are an incredible addition to the tank Enjoy...
Thanks @R.C., it's a Degenbao LED light. As far as I know they 10 000k which isn't ideal but will be fine for anubias luckily Have you used them?
Ok cool @R.C. , it also has a sticker that says DARO, so I'm not certain of the actual brand now haha What's the best way to upload a higher resolution/larger size image on APSA?
DARO is the local importer\distributor. Upload it to an image hosting site such as flickr, Imgur, etc. and then use the image tab here to insert image url.
Ok thanks @R.C. , that's what I was doing using Photobucket but still looks compressed. Thanks for the help though
Fixed it. You can now click on image to show original full sized image. If you want to do it yourself in future, follow these easy steps. 1. Edit using BBCode Editor or grab the (Direct) image url and paste here like so: http://i775.photobucket.com/albums/yy32/Craig_Miles/Fishtank_4ft_zpstvo8teik.jpg 2. Add ~original after .jpeg like so: http://i775.photobucket.com/albums/yy32/Craig_Miles/Fishtank_4ft_zpstvo8teik.jpg~original 3. Add image tags before and after modified URL (without spaces) like so : [ IMG ] http://i775.photobucket.com/albums/yy32/Craig_Miles/Fishtank_4ft_zpstvo8teik.jpg~original [ IMG ] On Photobucket, you can actually also just expand image to full size and then copy\paste image url, eliminating steps one and two.
Thanks @Vis! Got the 2 pipe fish at my LPS in Durban called Eurospirit! They incredible little creatures, want to get more of them for the tank.
Sure, I'll see if I can take a vid as well I'm hoping I'll be able to pick up a few more sometime, when I saw these 2 I took them both. This is the first time I have seen them in the trade/hobby.
Yeah normally they are quite hard to feed and keep alive so they are not in that a big demand but i find them really interesting.
Have you ever kept before? Touch wood, mine are doing well, I've had these guys for 3weeks going into the 4th now and they are eating very well. SO if all goes well they should be fine, I only feed various frozen food and microworms to all my fish, besides the odd pleco tablet. The pipe fish actually swim up and stalk their food, but there isn't much that will out compete them in that tank. I'll post some pics later today and TAG you when I do
No I never kept them as I have never seen them around. If they are eating well then that is very good. Do you know the species?
