Hi there APSA fish folks. My name is Clem and I live in Rosebank Cape Town. I was told about this site by my good friend Gawie (GDJ) who is responsible for kindling my interest in the hobby and its artistic opportunities. I am an artist by trade with experience in illustration, painting, scenic-ing, sculpture, set building, model building and design. I have two small planted tanks with guppies. I am hoping to get a bigger tank in the future to create a magical green landscape should the flat I live in allow the weight. I am a big believer in feng shui (living plants for wood element) and can strongly recommend having living plants you love in your "wealth corner". Instead of potted plants I like topless tanks with leaves and flowers growing out of the top. Obviously this is why I only have guppies for now as I woulndt want a prize discus jumping out for a stroll. I have only lost a about two escapees so far, probably chased to death by amorous males...sigh. They breed like crazy and my bio-mass is currently ludicrously high. I have fun colour breeeding them as they grow so fast. Soon I will have a big (10m x 2m x 1m) pond at our studio in harfield where I will grow a wide variety of aquatic plants.
Welcome to APSA Clem I'd love to see some of your work, if possible and when you have time you are more than welcome to post some of your portfolio in the 'Lounge' section. I'm particularly interested in your sculpture and illustrations. Regards Cameron
Howdy Clem and welcome Also would love to see some of your work, I also see some potential in tank designs Maybe in some background styles, if you can consider some for us hobbyist.
