      So this tank brings up a question I have. People constantly talk about "anaerobic conditions" in deeper substrate setups. In the case of this tank, that carpet surely cant have roots robust enough to oxygenate that deep into the bed?

      Either it's a myth.
      Or the above tank has some very interesting moves going on below the surface to ensure a healthy ecosystem?
