Wow that's amazing! I'm thinking of starting a small blog in January as a spare time affair :)

Yeah, mine has been a spare time affair for about 7 years now. The Facebook page only took off recently.

Guys a little confused with the temperature setting on this thing,

Should it be in or out setting on the digital thermometer.

I would imagine "in" to be the tank/water temperature and "out" the room/ambient temp.

Tanks can definitely be warmer than the room, internal heaters are the ones you want.

Put the probe in your ice water and check which reading responds by drop in temperature.

I used hot water and the out reading responded by rising in temperature.

So I added the the probe to my shrimp tank and the reading now is at 13.4?

And the In reading is 24.4 which feels like the room temperature?

Oh no really? I added it to the freezer and got exact temperature of my freezer setting - 14deg

So currently my room temperature at 24 and the tank at 16? The sponge filter outlet is above water with pc fan blowing over tank cooling water.

Does this temp difference sound correct.

Perhaps need to get another thermometer

I ditched one like yours and now just have DIY hanging jobs in all my tanks, I sometimes have to cross reference with another thermometer to double check.
    ..
That difference does not seem correct, I heat or cool the shrimp house to about 22'c, tanks are usually a little lower at 21.
