Urrrrgh cold front in the Midlands and it's just started to get freezing now. Chance of snow on the mountains overnight. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!
Had some issues with the backend code when we migrated to the new site...so yes...we were "offline" for about 9hrs on the 1st...but all is sorted now Yeah...we having difficulties with (sourcing) the spiderwood, everything (with and without plants) is unfortunately sold out...and as soon as we load CPDs they sell out within minutes as well. There anything specific you looking for or need us to stock?
All good, it happens. At least we noticed, right. Well since you ask ;-) I am going back to my roots on fetrz - https://sites.google.com/site/aquaticplantfertilizer/home/pps-pro - well almost, that means dry dosing or mix from dry, being able to get a few kg's of K2SO4 will be great. Found a good source for KH2PO4 - hydroponic.co.za they even had Ca(NO3)2 ... but here is the thing, low/no Cu and no Zinc in a dry mix seems to be near impossible to find. GREEN HOUSE POWDER FEEDING - HYBRID Code: 15% N Total Nitrogen 10% NS Nitrogen Nitrate 5% Na Nitrogen Ammoniacal 7% P2O5 Soluble Phosphorus 22% K2O Soluble Potassium 6.0% MgO Soluble Magnesium Oxide 0.03% B Soluble Boron 0.002% Cu Soluble Copper (as Chelate form EDTA) 0.12% Fe Soluble Iron (as Chelate form EDTA) 0.05% Mn Soluble Manganese (as Chelate from EDTA) 0.005% Mo Soluble Molybdenum 0.01% Zn Soluble Zinc (as Chelate from EDTA) Maybe you can approach these guys ... To do a DeapPool's DryMix fertz ? Or DPDMPPSTe-Pro for short. A local Te other than CSM+B would be nice - esp if you are cautious of micro toxicity buildup on our fancy new substrates. Later Ferdie
I was being lazy and didn't preheat my water for the water-change. Ambient temp of the room is pretty stable, which helps: (bottom line is temp, top is humidity) It took around two hours to climb back up to pre-waterchange temps (purple is water temp, blue is room temp) You might notice that my temp takes a while to dop off, because I basically do a drip in waterchange, gravity fed through airline tubing.
Very nice Theo, .. I find that the DHT22 last for maybe a year then they start to drift like it is nobodies business. later Ferdie
Congrats! Visited london zoo earlier, spent a load of time in the aquarium section and took good footage with a gopro. Will edit it together sometime as well as windows moviemaker allows me to
Crap. Know the feeling. Walked into the fishroom. CO2 was pumping like an airstone. Looks like I might save a few Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
Let me guess, one of these solenoid valve made in a rhino horn sniffer country? A solenoid valve is spring return and should close on its own when the power is off. Also Teflon tape can sometimes be one of the cause, best to use thread sealant paste. The quality of the CO2 equipment sold in the pet shops is really poor and overpriced. For more reliability I went for a solenoid valve made in Germany and 3 regulators made in USA. Rather buy once than be sorry. Also a good thing to do is running an air stone at night.
Found a tetra fry in my shrimp tank a month after the tetras left. Was gone for 3 weeks so pleasant surprise
