    Whats the evaporation like so far on this tank?? I know i once did a piece sticking out of the tank with no lid and had to top up nearly a litre each day and that was only a small 50 litre.

    BTW the scape looks flipping great!!

    I filled the tank to the brim tonight, so I'll see what the evaporation will be like tomorrow or so, yes the wood draws up a lot of water above the water line, I'm banking on that as I've already added some terrestrial moss on the left tall piece, will be adding some other terrestrial moss on the right with a tiny little creeper plant thingy growing at the bottom of the stairs outside...

    @jakkalsbothma what is those floating plants you have there is it your normal pond plants and will it grow in a heated tank.

    Fish will come in a week or two...

    Only catfish, Black Venezuela Corys, L340 Hypancistrus and some pygmy corys...

    Outside, two different kind of terrestrial moss I have growing outside round the house...

    ok, so the evaporation seems to be about 6 to 8 mm in 24 hours...

    I think it is the bigger cousin of Duckweed, to sure what it is called, maybe @Ivan can ID it?

    Nice concept !
    Can't work it out, those upper mosses including your Mini Pellia and Fissidens are surely going to need regular spraying/misting if they are to survive out in the open and under the heat of that light. As this would seem to be in the middle of your house, I'm interested to see how you are going to do this, unless you can somehow drip water/moisture down the trunk or find a jakkalsbothma way ? :) The plants further down close to the water surface will be Ok if they can get their feet wet. Watching this space...
