So, thanks to all of you on here, Scape is simply going from Strength to strength at the moment. We will be launching a new Liquid product next week. Bac-Up is a bacteria in a bottle solution. Our product contains 30 different species of bacteria, and is extremely concentrated. Our concentration is roughly 900 000 bacteria per ml of liquid, which is far greater than any of our competitors! We are extremely excited about this product. Best thing, it's R180 per 500ml bottle at your pet shop! Secondly, the first batches of Scape Plants will be hitting the market from next week. Again, quality is king, affordability is king. Our first 5 species will be available from next week. HC HM glosso Hydrocotyl tripartita Rotala colorata We will obviously be expanding the range as time goes by, so keep them peeled! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Very cool, who will be getting the first stock? Oh and can I dilute it with distilled water ... thinking of adding it to my DIY dosing routine. Later Ferdie
Great work @Slagter great to see local guys hiting the market like that. Sent from my C6603 using Tapatalk
Thanks guys! Ferdie, you can't dilute it into a dosing unit. The dilution will activate the bacteria. And then without a food source in a bottle, they will die. But you can put the undiluted bottle onto a dosing unit and just dose smaller amounts. Betterweather and Lifestyle will be first stockists, but we have lots of orders coming on Monday, so will see final numbers early next week. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I can confirm the product is real and does exist in retail ;-) Got some from AE this afternoon. Smells fantastic .. you will probably want to take a swig at some point. Later Ferdie
Can I take it that 'Bac up' is shrimp friendly and not just for tough local lekker neos, as I don't want to make a F...c up with Bac up ?
Never had any issues with similar probiotics, only thing if you overdose (and I mean ooops big slip form the bottle) ... run more aeration for a day or so, water can go hazy while it sorts itself out. Clare ... actually if the stuff works the same as other Probiotics - and this why not diluting it makes sense, then yeah aim for the gut would be correct. Typically these bugs survive / are made dormant by being in a very acidic environment so if you should ( warning labels on the SCAPE product saying it is not for children and only for aquariums ;-) - but please do not try this at home, drinking that is adding to Aquarium - YES ) it will probably survive the trip to your gut. It really does smell good, I am not being sarcastic - nice fermented sent, not rotten eggs. Later Ferdie
Look I just spotted this on Aqua Empire's FB page .. Nice one Guys ... l0ve the info sticks .. stock looks healthy, hope some will still be around when I get to swing by. Later Ferdie
Now thats what we want. Awesomeness to the next level. Great to see. Sent from my C6603 using Tapatalk
