+1 I remember posting my first question a question on TASA. Where can you find Assassin Sn.ils? and i got for not reading the rules and regulations....
Hulle ignore my op TASA en mens voel soms dom om iets te vra, here on APSA there is always someone replying or trying to help without making you feel like a complete idiot about something thats new to you. I am a member on both and some people did help me on TASA so i wont say anything bad about that, ek geniet visse en plante so ek moet maar my contacts oop hou
Well it looks like I have joined the ranks of ex TASA members! Thanks to APSA for allowing a simple concept like off topic discussions on threads . It allows the site to flow and works very well. At least here I can have a bit of a laugh... Heavy handed moderating kills forums and makes them
I have not read all the posts, but I have been off both TASA and APSA for some time now for various reasons but for one I got very tired of the crap. I think there is a space for both forums and join would not benefit us, we have fish focused forum and we have plant focused forum... There is some cross over but I think we need to have our dedicated places to talk.
Yeah there will be too much issues. It's like 2 democratic parties joining. It won't happen because their values differ. We will be flooded by the average TASA user posts and threads, which is not nice. We have a high standard of content and newbies learn quickly.
If the forums merged, I might as well go for a reef tank. I like the mods and members of APSA, and the freedom of speech as Marc said. Double thumbs up. No benefit in my view It would be about as retarded as them selling Opel Corsa bakkie's with Chevrolet badges on them - purely retarded
I can get all my pics in one place ... not saying this must happen or that is should happen, but nice to know that you do have a "quick" migration roadmap should you need to do one at some point. Then all can sing kumbaya around your favourite tank. LOL Ryno ... now why did nobody do that - or did they. One thing about life - never say never. Later Ferdie
Hi, Ferdie. TASA came about after APSA got hacked many moons ago. We were down for quite a bit and when we got back up and running again, Rory (after starting TASA) did ask us (at that time the previous\second owners of APSA were Ryan and Andre) if we would like to merge with TASA and after much thought and discussion back and forth, we decided that it would be better to just keep the two forums separate.
Nice bit of history - thanks for posting and giving some background. I was not aware of this ... This made me nostalgic .. fishforum.co.za registered 2006-06-01 - all content lost for ever ( yes even the tantrums ) APSA.co.za registered 2006-06-14 - no clue what the first post is that still available online tropicalaquarium registered 2008-09-05 - no clue what the first post is that still available online Later Ferdie
